    Northern Mockingbird

6:50 am. Morning is waking, yawning and stretching beneath this tilting marrow. The sky's pale face isn't blushed properly when I spy a Northern Mockingbird outside my window. He's skittering across my deck banister.

Where he is- center- has fallen into an inquisitor's bitter soil. His tail writes in its circumference. Fog has limited his green landscape rendering him in limbo.

He mocks other birds never knowing his own disjuncted voice. Somewhere between grey and song he withers. His soul forever placed in Poefusion's tomes as a shared memento.

Here's a link at All About Birds to hear the Northern Mockingbird.

Love that second shot - great walking action. And I like this:

'He's skittering across my deck banister.

Where he is- center- has fallen into an inquisitor's bitter soil. His tail writes in its circumference.'

I have never seen a mockingbird up close, but they are great mimics...

Good morning Michele, thanks for visiting my blog while I was gone. I also need to find the treadmill again.

I was reading about setting up chats with your regulars, when my son gets up I will check with him on the site he plans to use but I think it is called skipe or skype. It is not a chat room bur a free program or download that allows anyone that has it to get online and use the camera and microphone to speak face to face. It is to be a safe program that not just anyone can use with you unless you set it up with them. He has not used it yet and I am an idiot on these machines so I will find out more.

I guess you already know from viewing my site that I have enjoyed your mockingbird post.

You seem to have a great and simple appreciation for nature. It's always a joy to see what part of it you've managed to capture on camera or describe with your words.

Love the vibrant way you described your mockingbird experience!

I get so tired of the mockingbirds around my house. They're so territorial and loud. If I had less of them around I'd probably enjoy their antics a lot more!

By the way, that "Wordless Wednesday" post that you read was supposed to have gone to my regular blog. I've been very remiss in posting to my nature blog. Thanks for dropping by!

    Beautiful image.
No Brasil tem um pássaro que migra todos os anos da América do Norte até aqui.
Chama-se Ticão, e é bem parecido com este.
