Pleiades
Pleiades was invented by Craig Tigerman, Sol Magazine's lead editor, in 1999. A single titled poem whose seven lines, six syllables each, start with the first letter of your title. If you should decide to write in this form please leave me a comment below.
Here's an example:
Calligraphy
cold gray initial lay
calved with a knock and
chisel in concrete. A
camber of three letters
certain to weather the
cessation of wind and
chafe hand across its skin.

Michelle, thank you. This is a form I will try repeatedly. My first attempt is here: Mind's Eye. I will wait on attempting a Paradelle, though.
This was fun - first attempt doesn't indicate how many hours and attempts it took to arrive at this rather short form! I'll do it again and try others as well! Thanks, Michelle!

Ahh, I thought it was six and six. I must have misread it last night. I'll have to fix the ones I wrote at school today.
I think I'm more of a hopeless romantic.
Anyway, here's the second draft.

Hi Michelle. I am going to mention this post at PWB.
Thanks for inspiring poets to try a form they may be unused to.
I enjoyed reading your poem.
I'm going to add you to the PWb blogroll under About Poetry, which is the only part of the blogroll that lists poetry resources instead of members of PWB.
Thanks for doing all you do to spread poetry throughout the blogosphere.

I actually thought this would be harder than it was (which might mean it's not very good :-) Maybe I found it easy because many of my own poems are in 5-7 syllable lines. Inside
I so enjoyed working out my first attempt, I had to have another try to see if I could get a completely different feel. I'm not sure if I did but I do like the result. I apologize for the similarity of content: Hope
i was inspired to try another at the suggestion of the phantom... here it is in connection with the november sky poetry prompt,,, february
Somebody shoot me...I can't seem to stop playing with this form. This one is more out there and contains a hidden meaning for one other human being on this planet: Sprint
Hi, I'm putting a Pleiades up on my blog. I'm glad to learn about this form.
Thanks for suggesting this interesting form. This is fun.
I have decided to write a full 26 of these, one for each letter. Here are the latest installments.
